Siwar Masannat is a Jordanian writer. Masannat holds a PhD in English from the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, where she was a Distinguished Dissertation R1 Fellow and a Distinguished Graduate Student Fellow. She also studied at George Mason University and the University of Jordan.

Siwar works as Managing Editor of Prairie Schooner and the African Poetry Book Fund at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln.

The author of cue (Georgia Review Books 2024) and 50 Water Dreams (Cleveland State University Poetry Center 2015), Masannat’s poetry and critical writing have appeared in print and online.
